Dezeen is now inviting entries for its annual awards program, which last year named four Australian architecture and interiors projects as winners. The shortlist alone included 12 projects from Australia from a total of 92 recognised projects - the most of any other country.
The 2025 Dezeen Awards named Studio Bright's Hedge and Arbour House in Melbourne as the winner of the House (Urban) of the Year award, Jillian Dinkel's design for Kilmory House in Sydney as Bathroom Interior of the Year, Aesop Hainan Melbourne-based design practice Other Matter as Surface Design of the Year, and Down in the Clouds, a collaborative project located in Dun'ao Village, China, by Melbourne-based practice Increments Studio, as Installation Design of the Year.
In 2026, the Dezeen Awards include 49 project awards, including 19 in architecture, 14 in interiors and 16 in design, alongside three Project of the Year titles and six prizes awarded to individuals or practices.
As a new addition this year, three regional showcases will celebrate the top 50 projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA); Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Americas (AMER), as decided by Dezeen's editors.
The early entry deadline is 25 March 2025, with late entries accepted until 3 June 2026. Winners of the regional showcases will be announced in September, followed by the shortlist, with the public invited to vote on their favourite. The winners of the public vote will be revealed in late October, and the prize winners announced in mid-November.
