The first wine grapes in the Orange district were planted on Bloodwood in the spring of 1983. Since then, Bloodwood has enjoyed continuing critical and wine show success. The vineyard is located on the mid slopes of a free standing, north and easterly facing headland comprised of some of the oldest soils on this planet.
